MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2005 film?

Le Regard est le premier film de Nour-Eddine Lakhmari. Il s'agit d'un film sur l'abus de pouvoir, la culpabilité et la rédemption. Dans Le Regard, le photographe français Albert Tueis, 70 ans, se retrouve confronté à son passé. Alors qu'il prépare l'exposition qui devrait réunir l'intégralité des oeuvres de son parcours photographique, il se souvient des photos qu'il avait pris à l'âge de 19 ans. Soldat à l'époque de la guerre d'indépendance du Maroc, le jeune Albert était photographe pour l'armée française. Les photos qu'il prit à l'époque ne furent jamais publiées. Une évidence s'impose: sans ces photos, la rétrospective de sa carrière ne sera pas complète. Albert Tuies décide de retourner au Maroc pour retrouver les négatifs qu´il y avait enterrés. Mais c'est à un nouveau Maroc qu'il va se trouver confronté. Et tandis qu'il rencontre le présent et ce qu´il cache de rivalités et de difficultés, des images de plus en plus fortes et brutales du passé ressurgissent.
