MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

In 1918 a French warship docks in Poerava Fenua Island, a paradise lost in the islands of Polynesia. On board, Captain Alfred de Morsac trains an infantry battalion of Oceania. When landed, discovers the Hiva, a town of ancient warriors, who are under the command of Commander Lefebvre despicable and greedy. Morsac wins the trust of Reia, the ruler of the island, which sees him as " Tefa'aora ", a character who, according to ancient legend Tahitian must free his people from oppression.
