MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1986 film?

Louis Malle goes into a small community of Minnesota, Glencoe, trying to unravel the social basis of what is called the American heartland. It is basically a community rural, conservative stronghold and too small for even the smallest inhabitant escape the punishment of the rumor mill. However, Malle portrays the people through testimonies of characters that exceed that stamp folk. The resulting mosaic of conservatives, liberals, religious, pacifist, composed an elegy sincere and ideology- a part of the United States little known abroad.
