MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

France, the eighteenth century. A monstrous creature savagely devours the inhabitants of a French village. Fresh from America, Grégoire de Fronsac is commissioned of King Louis XV to find the beast. Grégorie and his mysterious blood brother, an Indian named Mani, try to discover what is behind these bloody events.
