MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1945 film?

While waiting at the station for the train that leads from San Francisco to New York, Nikki Collins accidentally witnesses a murder committed in a building nearby. No one believes his story, including the police found no trace when it arrives at the scene of course, but a famous writer of detective novels, which is predisposed to cooperate with it to show that indeed a crime has been committed and there a dangerous murderer released.
