MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1943 film?

In the mountains, in a dark and rainy night, a mysterious gentleman arrives at an inn full of tourists. The strange behavior of Roland Brissot called everyone's attention. Forced by events and by the hostility of the crowd around him, reluctantly begins to tell his story. Long ago it was a failed painter until spurned by the woman he loved in a restaurant, the local owner sold him a talisman that would give huge success, both in his personal and professional life. Unfortunately, this talisman was owned by the devil himself.
