MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1978 film?

Two narrators, one that we see and one to which we do not see, discuss a series of paintings. The theme is the work of a French artist course, Tonnerre, who in the nineteenth century have portrayed different images of a secret ceremony that was later interrupted by the authorities, leading to a scandal. But perhaps what made the artist was hiding in that representation tracks another scandal, even larger, involving a well-known family of the time. Thus, the collector box crosses the geography, looking for evidence of hidden truth.
