MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1955 film?

The detective Mike Hammer picks up on the road, at night, a girl fleeing a deadly risk. Shortly after they are intercepted by the bullies, ruthless thugs who, after torturing and murdering the girl and beat up the drive stick detective, throw them off a cliff. Hammer gets out unscathed, and will be devoted to investigate this mysterious case. This film is a prequel of Kiss Me Deadly: A Jacob Keane Assignment (2008).
