MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2005 film?

Harry Lockhart is essentially a decent guy. It is true that it is a petty thief who goes through life with a shaky cocktail of charm and optimism outdated without conscience, however wants to do right. The eternal bad luck to Harry begins to improve when he and his partner are doing some Christmas "shopping" out of hours in a toy store in New York and the security alarm breaks up the party. In his frantic getaway from the cops, Harry is accidentally put on an audition for a part of Hollywood detective film and in the blink of an eye, the producer flies him to Los Angeles for a screen test. Thrust into the cutthroat world of pros, cons, losers and aspiring actors in Los Angeles, Harry is teamed with tough private eye Perry van Shrike, also known as " Gay Perry " to prepare you for your test.
