MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2002 film?

Based on the Japanese comic Hanawa Zakuichi cartoonist published after his stint in jail charged with possession of weapons and explosives, the film is a portrait of Japanese prison life, almost a haven of peace in modern Japan. A prison genre film that has little to do with what we've seen so far: without violence or escape attempts, located in a minimum security prison for petty criminals, revels in the absurdity of everyday prison with one disarming sense of humor and a heartfelt humanity. A prison drama in which the problem is not to be in jail, but you start to like to be in it, in which the characters are obsessed with food, TV programs, ridiculous conversations about how to celebrate the New Year , to realize that focusing on the absurdity of that life is perhaps the only way to feel alive and useful. That is, passing the time.
