MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1981 film?

The calls are a type griot storytellers and poems, African tribal bards. With roots in more than 1600 years old, the griot's role was to preserve the genealogies and oral traditions of the tribe. In places where written language is the privilege of the few, the position of the griot as cultural guardian is still maintained. In Jom, or the legend of a village, the griot Khaly, memory incarnate African travels back in time to witness resistance to oppression that the people opposed the colonizers enslaved, the master to the servant, the pattern factory workers.
