MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

It was a time where artists and writers often gathered in an area of the city known as Greenwich Village, and a time in which Joseph Mitchell was publishing some of his best work. One day, the soft-spoken writer, meets Joe Gould. Born in the north and educated in Harvard, the ragged Gould is a scholar of the streets of New York. The work of his life is the " Oral History of Our Time ", a transcript of hundreds of conversations, comments, and essays on what he has seen and heard. Without work, Gould depends on the contributions of his friends and admirers to " Joe Gould Foundation ." After Mitchell's story appeared in The New Yorker, Gould became a minor celebrity. As is changing the dynamic between the two men, their relationship consume Mitchell for years, as it will become the guardian of Joe Gould's Secret.
