MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

Jakob was the owner of a popular café in the Jewish quarter of a city in Poland. After the occupation, can survive in the ghetto as implemented by the Nazi army, before suffering the same fate as his wife, killed in a concentration camp. One day, by chance and being close to a German officer, heard the news on a radio, which are not at all favorable to Hitler. After counting to others, everyone thinks that Jakob has a radio, from which time decides to invent news. Remake of the German film " Jakob the Liar ", directed in 1975 by Frank Beyer.
