MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

Set during World War II after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbour, "In a Savage Land " tells the story of a newly married couple scientists who decides to go to Australia to Tobriand Islands in Papua New Guinea, in order to study sexual behavior of the residents of those islands. She is an ambitious doctor, and her husband, a famous anthropologist who hopes to return to prominence in his profession. But soon problems arise. Doctor treats Evelyn as an inexperienced student. Then Mick aaparenta a pearl dealer who exploits the natives - but which quickly attracted Evelyn feels.
