Augusto Vanghetta is the Praetor of a village on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Evelina married much younger than him, carrying seven years without sharing marriage bed, so much so that she has developed a form of anorexia deprivation. Meanwhile Augusto frequents almost all local women ; adolescents or old, single or married.
