MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2009 film?

In 1954 after 2 yrs in a home for males, Snit Mandolin, 15, returns house to his apparently unhinged and reclusive aunt Matilda. Defeated by a residential district that still shuns him, confronted with the impossibility of surviving on their aunt's farm, Snit falls in with Johnny Swift, 16, another outcast. Johnny makes moonshine and sells it through a local bootlegger. The males work together and be quick friends. And Snit finds very first love with a free-spirited neighborhood woman, Robin, 16. Their adventure is interrupted by the enigmatic and unpredictable Roy Kane, the region's private cop, whom took Snit away two years ago and will now use the guys to get to the bootlegger. Dogged by Kane, betrayed by a bootlegger and plagued by the ghosts associated with the past, the men' partnership finishes - their friendship broken. Alone once again in the community that rejected him, Snit involves a violent crossroads.
