MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1990 film?

Margaret Thatcher just dropped and the Conservative Party the various candidates to take his place as leader of the Tories are preparing to do battle like vultures over his body still warm. Francis Urquarth, is the Chief Whip, the head company of the Tories, the person in charge of disciplining MPs to follow the party line. A powerful character that moves between scenes and who exercises his power from the shadows, Urquarth is the prototype of the English upper class: educated, traditionalist and class to the core. To his doom, the successful candidate is a liberal and puts more emphasis than he would like in social policy. Not only that: he was elected prime minister by a slim majority and soon it is clear that going to be a popular leader and well-meaning but weak. Not only that, when distributing the ministries, the Prime Minister not only ignores the advice of Urquarth, but failed in its promise to give himself a ministry. From that moment, Urquarth going to harassment and demolition of the Prime Minister, a task that appears to be ideally equipped, fully deploying a staggering genius for intrigue and duplicity. A remake called El secreto de Sally (1993) was made based on this movie.
