MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1944 film?

Hannes Kröger, old sailor that life has cheated, sings every night in Hamburg's seedy cabaret called the " Great Freedom ". On his deathbed entrusted his brother to his former lover. She is slowly conquering the heart of Hannes. He dedicated the song " La Paloma " and start dreaming of sharing life with her. But Gisa not aware at all of the situation and leaves often with Willem longshoreman. Him and begin to rival Hannes and deeply hurt, solve Hannes done again to sea.
