MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1946 film?

Adapted from the novel " Great Expectations " by Charles Dickens. The son of a poor blacksmith is sent to London to be educated through the fortune of a benefactor whose identity is unknown. A remake called Grandes esperanzas (1998) was made based on this movie.
