MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1914 film?

" Gertie the Dinosaur " is an animated short film, produced in 1914 and directed by Winsor McCay, who inspired several generations of animators. Although not the first cartoon, as some think, was the first to present a character with personality. The main character is unlike previously created by Blackton and Cohl, and makes it the predecessor to later created by Walt Disney. It was also the first cartoon to be created using the technique "key frame". He was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the United States, and located in the sixth place of " 50 Greatest Cartoons", created in 1994 by historian Jerry Beck and the votes of many specialists in the field.
