MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

Set in the late nineteenth century, long before the liberation of women, is the bold and stylized representation of a woman's life and the fate of the heir to a family farm. Unfortunately for Bente and her husband, Gorme, is rude and cruel and tries to take over the farm on their own terms. Bente makes a promise to his father on his deathbed, to marry the son of a neighbor and bring the family farm. Gorme has not taken into account, however, Bente also has an inner strength.
