Brian Fitzgerald " Fitzcarraldo ", an eccentric megalomaniac business man obsessed with opera, has lost its prestige and fortune in companies with no future absurd. His latest project is to build an opera house in a village along the Peruvian Amazon, to raise the necessary capital to fund such a great company is engaged in the rubber trade. His extravagant plan requires a great river take river boat and transport it to the top of a mountain.
