MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2003 film?

Rodrigo is a perfect candidate for hero: Son of a noble Castilian, combines education in court by his closest companion and eldest son of King Sancho, with the furtive visits to his beloved Gimenez, the daughter of the Earl of Gormaz, who with great zeal forbids their relationship. Handsome, young, funny, brave, bright future stands before him. But times of happiness does not last forever, and after the death of King Fernando, Rodrigo becomes embroiled in a world of plots and conspiracies that will end the life of Sancho and the consequent coronation of Prince Alfonso. Suddenly, Rodrigo loses all that has acquired without effort, his best mate and love of his beloved Gimenez, being unjustly banished from Castile without honor. Away from home and in hostile territory, Rodrigo and a few men, with special help from Prince Al- Mutamin, begin an adventure full of action and passion you will never forget, recovering territories and facing the dreaded Ben Yussuff, staunch enemy of Alfonso Rey brand, and determined to conquer the entire peninsula. In his effort to claim the forgiveness of their King, and looking to regain his position and love Gimenez, Rodrigo is the profound universal values of friendship and honor. " El Cid, the legend" tells the story of a young man who became a human being, a man who became legend hero to become, which continues to this day, the legend of Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, better known as " The Cid ".
