MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2009 film?

Édith Piaf, whose real name was Edith Giovanna Gassion, was one of France's most celebrated singers of the twentieth century. His life was marked by misfortune since childhood, which had a decisive influence on performance style, lyrical and torn. His appearance earned him the name helpless for which he is universally known: Piaf. His consecration came after World War II, when it became the muse of poets and intellectuals of Paris existentialist and earned the unqualified admiration of the public. Édith Piaf to raise and filled the huge stages of France, Europe and North America. She befriended the actress Marlene Dietrich and became the grand dame of French song, helping emerging talents such as Charles Aznavour, Georges Moustaki, Yves Montand and Gilbert Becaud. But Piaf's life was not moderate and intense passion reflected not only his songs but also his tempestuous intimacy, full of love and indifference that lead down the path of insanity and addiction to hard drugs such as morphine, to meet his death at 47 years of age.
