MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

Shot in the privileged setting of all Guiraudie movies gueux Du soleil pour les proposes a new perspective on the bucolic landscape, making the map convoluted elusive reality that the director will continue to develop in his work. Here, a girl from town travels to find in the mountainous region of the pastors " ounaye ", a concept that works as fictional key to enter a parallel dimension. There is some apocryphal myth of pre-capitalist era in this invention, although it is certain that all unfolds trying to bare the relationships between characters to drift the way. One of those characters is Izba Carol, played by the same Guiraudie, which can be defined as a mixture of " old western charismatic villain and marathoner without limits " in the words of Pedro Maciel Guimarães. Is that as in his other films, Guiraudie build a career in a rather literal sense, to get away from certain vices of film and current planet, to find other, perhaps more utopian ..
