MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1944 film?

An artist is blinded by his zealous young model who throws acid in his eyes. Now the artist must achieve an eye transplant to see again. With the death of the father of the model ( which had intended to donate his eyes ), the artist becomes the prime suspect.
