MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1956 film?

Cologne 1948: Anton Wibbel, a master tailor from the Rhineland, meets Bobby McMillar, a Scottish military policeman, on the black market. On Mardi Gras they go round the houses and swap clothes. Anton is caught and sentenced to three weeks in prison. He persuades his journeyman Max to go to prison in his place for five marks a day. Everything goes well until Max dies unexpectedly and Anton is officially declared dead. Already the admirers are crowding around Anton's supposed widow Fin.
