MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

Hermine, die Tochter des reichen Geschäftsmannes Frymann, kehrt nach einem langen Welschlandaufenthalt nach Hause zurück und soll auf Wunsch ihres Vaters die Ehe mit dem reichen Geschäftsmann Ruckstuhl aus Zürich eingehen. Frymann plant mit Ruckstuhl im Dorf ein grosses Bauprojekt, welches er nur mit dessen Hilfe finanzieren kann. Der Plan scheint perfekt: Geld gegen Liebe. Doch Frymann hat nicht mit Karl gerechnet, dem Sohn eines verarmten Schneiders, der seit Generationen in der Schuld der Familie Frymann steht. Karl und Hermine verbindet eine unschuldige Jugendliebe, der Karl noch immer heimlich nachtrauert. Hermine, die zwischen den Interessen ihres Vaters, dem eleganten Zürcher Lebemann und ihrer alten Jugendliebe steht, kann sich nicht entscheiden. Erst als sich der junge Karl aus dem Schatten seines Vaters wagt und langsam erwachsen wird, vermag er auch die Liebe von Hermine zu gewinnen.
