MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

Peter Joseph, whom everyone calls Peejoe, is twelve years old and lives in a small southern town in Alabama, his routine existence will be altered when his Aunt Lucille, who has just killed her husband, decides to go to Hollywood to succeed on TV. While waiting for news of her, for the first time hear about husbands who abuse their wives and also so-called "civil rights " which, during the summer of 1965, causing massive demonstrations staged by black citizens.
