MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1988 film?

In the 20th century, in North America, no artistic medium, with potential for creative expression, who has had a more turbulent history and with less respect than comic books. Through animated montages, readings and interviews, this guide through the history of the medium from the 1930s and 1940s with the first explosion of the popularity of superheroes created by immense talents like Jack Kirby and reached its first artistic zenith with Will Eisner " Spirit ". Then moves to the postwar period, with the growing popularity of horror comics and crime, until it has reached increasing censorship with the imposition of the Comics Code. When passing through the devastation of creative freedom through also explore EC's defiant survival Comics with the creation of the singular "Mad Magazine" by Harvey Kurtzman.
