MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1987 film?

Penfield Gruber, who years earlier had been a famous scientist, is now going through a rough time and has been forced to run a seedy hotel. Amid the comings and goings of their guests, a superhuman figure aaparenta the scene and harassed with questions about an enigmatic character who stays at the hotel. Gruber, decides to spy on him and found that his hotel is about to commit a brutal murder.
