MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1984 film?

A Philadelphia teenager has a passion for birds. This hobby unleashes in him an irresistible desire to learn to fly, an interest that leads from the world even as do various experiments, some of which are life threatening. The best friend of " Birdy " is Al, the prototype of young healthy and normal. The two involved in the Vietnam War, which " Birdy " becomes convinced that it is a bird.
