MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

It is an easy portrait of the inhabitants of a former barracks turned into a residential community in a city in the Urals in 1953, during the postwar reconstruction after the death of Stalin. The community is an example, in a nutshell, the lives and loves also the common people in the rest of the Soviet Union during a period of turmoil. Olga twenty-three years of age the only survivor of a family wiped out in the place of Leningrad, is the latest arrival at the barracks, where they know anyone. Alexei, a human being in the army, lives with her son and his girlfriend Claudia Burka. Jora is a Jew, an extraordinary photographer, is a former victim of Stalin's purges. Friedrich is a former Nazi soldier married to a Russian woman. Guerka is an alcoholic Nazi collaborator. Polina is a Ukrainian pretentious and Karim al tartar is your partner. Olga gradually adjusted to the circumstances, to live each day with moments of joy, sadness, and unexpected incidents.
