MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2002 film?

When Fidel Castro anunción in 1994 that his government would not make the slightest effort to stop the boats with people who wanted to leave the island of Cuba, thousands of Cubans took to the seas in pursuit of the American adventure. In that summer of 1994, a team of Catalonia Television reporters filmed and interviewed seven Cubans and their families during the days the Perilous Adventure preparing to set sail to reach the coast of the United States, fleeing economic hardship plaguing their country. Some time later, in the refugee camp of the U.S. base in Guantanamo, reporters were able to locate those who had been rescued at sea. Their families remained in Cuba with no news of them, except in the case of a woman who had been shipwrecked with his raft and had been forced to return to Cuban territory. Seven years after it was launched into the waters of the Gulf of Florida in search of a dream team " Rafters " is reunited with those characters to discover what was their destination. This film portrays in detail and sensitivity evolution, his life in the United States or their stay in Cuba. His is the story of some of the true survivors of our time, the human adventure of a shipwrecked between two worlds.
