MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1993 film?

China, 1925. Beijing Military rule and while in the city the political situation is unstable, there is a constant in everyday life: the opera, a show where even the female characters must be represented by men. Among the new boys destined to be stars of the Peking Opera are the delicate Douzi and Shitou, it takes under his wing. They forged a strong friendship, and falls in love Douzi older boy. As Douzi has the beauty of a woman, you are in female roles, while the athletic Shitou train him primarily for military roles. Among the operas that study is "Farewell My Concubine".
