MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1964 film?

Mid - seventeenth -century France: the young Louis XIV struggle to maintain their power. Beggars and thieves haunt Paris and bandits roam the countryside. Angélique de Sancé of Monteloup, fifth daughter of an impoverished noble country, grows in the marshes of Poitou. Its logical destination would marry the son of another impoverished nobleman, have children and spend their lives fighting for a meager subsistence. However, fate has other plans for her. At age 17, when he returned to his village after completing his education at a convent is committed to the wealthy Count of Peyrac Joffrey, who is 12 years her senior, lame, and scarred. For the sake of her family, Angélique reluctantly agrees to the match but refuses the advances of her husband. Peyrac respects your decision and not claim his conjugal rights, wishing to conquer. Angélique reaches the royal court and fight to save Joffrey. With his great determination to survive, alone and desperate, he dives into the dark underworld of Paris.
