MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2011 film?

In 1958 the Swiss Robert Frank published The Americans, both landmark book in the history of modern photography as representation of what we call American, product of a long drive by the United States. Fifty years later, the Austrian documentary filmmaker Ruth Beckermann makes a similar journey to record moving images. What in Frank were blotted to step moments, flashes of incomprehensible reality, here is desenregresa in time form scenes, conversations, or the mere contemplation of the undulating road lines beyond the window. Clearly not any instant for USA: the financial crisis has just exploded and Beckermann gaze stops at some of its effects. But this is not a documentary but a panoramic view complaint, and the camera goes beyond the situation, to the essence of a country whose gigantic project led him to distort reality and even create your own. At that point, the strangeness and fascination can also generate some objectivity: privilege of looking abroad.
