The famous actress Marina Gregg has moved to Gossington Hall to shoot a movie. During the reception in his honor, Local gossip, Heather Badcock, dies after drinking a cocktail. Inspector Craddock, charged with investigating the murder, with the invaluable help of his aunt, Miss Marple, and soon come to the conclusion that the real objective of the murderer was Marina Gregg.
