MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2007 film?

Germany, early this century. Katharina von Strahlberg, a woman married to a high ranking military officer, decides to leave him after learning that he has been unfaithful to her sister, who committed suicide before revealing this terrible secret. Without any resources, Katharina can not survive in the Germany of the time, and decides to sail for the German colonies in Africa. But their hopes of finding a prosperous life are constantly truncated due to the influence of his evil husband. Also at fault made her beloved son, a young soldier manipulated by his father. Despite the adversity, Katharina gets his way as a medical nurse, through which she meets a handsome Irishman named Victor March.
