MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1988 film?

In the early 20's a young man is hurt during a country walk performed with a partner. He is welcomed home by a young woman who takes care while recovering from ankle twist. Love comes between the two, but soon the young man must return to the city, promising to return. However, city life absorbed him and soon the two lovers will be immersed in a whirlwind of emotions that will change their lives irreparably.
