MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1994 film?

When Michael McCann is tossed over by the woman he really loves, he becomes one thing of a misanthrope and a miser, investing all of his spare money on collectible coins. Surviving in equivalent city is an affluent household with two sons: John and Tanny. Tanny's a wild kid, who John cannot control, and one evening he breaks into McCann's house, and steals the silver and disappears, which almost verifies McCann's distrust of mankind. But then, a mysterious young woman dies within the snow outside McCann's household, and her little child makes the woman solution to McCann's household and into McCann's life and heart. He names her Matilda, and raises the girl, finding companionship and a fresh joy in life with his used child. However the secret of Matilda's birth may tear them apart.
