MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1985 film?

This award-winning film Ferenc András is a commentary on the nature of the older generations and younger in Hungary in the mid 80s. Reb stole the passport of his friend Makai in 1968 and flew to the United States. Seventeen years later, he returns to Hungary with a adolescecnte old daughter and starts with his usual dishonest schemes to make money. Makai is happy to see him at first, but this soon fades. Reb's ex-wife Mari feels the same. Meanwhile, the son of Makai is called for military service, and this leads to Makai to take a poor decision on how to help prevent it. In contrast to Reb, Makai, and other young people, the elderly who suffered all the horrors of war seem a paragon of wisdom and stability.
