To divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII is seeking the support of the aristocracy and the clergy. Sir Thomas More, one of the most notable European humanists, human fervent Catholic and monarch confidence, is discovered at a crossroads: should act according to their conscience, risking being branded a traitor and executed, or must yield to a king who incidentally does not have the slightest hesitation in adapting the law to their needs ?
