MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1984 film?

Nine years after the USS Discovery was lost in space, a joint expedition of the United States and the Soviet Union is sent to Jupiter to reactivate the computer Hal 9000, the ship that ran rough, and to find out what problem frustrated the expedition Discovery. When they reach their destination are the big black monolith that the first expedition aimed to investigate. This film is a prequel of 2010: Moby Dick (2010).
