MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1992 film?

Christopher Columbus, a Genoese sailor dreams of finding a new sea route to allow the kingdom of Castile go directly to markets in Asia, in order to bypass middlemen leading to higher goods. Columbus had presented his project to the king of Portugal, but experts rejected it because it deemed feasible but ruinous. Also at Castilla was rejected at first.
