The plot of the film can be seen from a two different amounts. The first is universal and addresses the emotional theme of dependence on competition in group, highlighting the necessity for the victory, that life usually will not be determined by the genuine virtues of champion, therefore the result is normally tragicomic. Chosen participants get to the guesthouse regarding the border between Croatia and Serbia to organize the last work for the competition while the jury's choice. Seven competitors have an extremely narrow view of the world. Even though the big activities, like cultural conflicts within an element of the Balkans, the contestants insist to proceed the competition and to pick the hero of heroes, although the very concept of competition became anachronistic under the stress of present occasions (the anger of this local Serbian populace associated with the newly established Croatian authorities).
