MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1962 film?

October 17, 1961. The war in Algeria is ongoing. In Paris, the Algerians take to streets to protest against the curfew. The Algerian National Liberation Front, then the number one enemy of the French, is the organizer of the event. The protesters are persecuted, charged atmosphere of tension and a peaceful demonstration ends in a bloodbath. The director Jacques Panijel rebuilt in late 1961 a few scenes of this bloody October night with amateur for his documentary Octobre à Paris, located in the historical context of state killings. When going to project the footage in Cannes, the room was evacuated by police at the last minute and copies kidnapped. Half a century later, the book was released in October 2011 for the first time in Paris.
