MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1998 film?

Fifties, Barquinha village on the banks of the River of Gold, the heart of the vineyards of Oporto. An elderly couple was home, she is gatekeeper, it is the pattern of a dredging boat on the Douro River. Melita, his niece, falls into the water of the river, screaming relief Antonio saves. Carolina jealous his wife dies while he makes the " Word of mouth ". On a train, a gypsy visionary, Zé " Goldsmith ", trying to sell a gold necklace Melita.
