Situated in Ethiopia, Harvest 3000 Years is the story of the struggle for survival of a peasant family in the land of a rich feudal landlord. Both the rate and the visual style of the film are subordinated to the dynamics of daily life, offering a sensitive portrayal of the avatars and dramas of everyday reality. The drama is triggered at the instant when the son and daughter, both teenagers, they begin to question the traditional social roles, the tyrannical behavior of the landowner and visionary and revolutionary actions of the 'insane' the people.
