MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

London, in the late nineteenth century. Amid the strict Victorian society, Catherine is a beautiful and brilliant young man who even aspires to become a journalist. Seeking work, Catherine knows Joshephine Butler, who became his professional mentor. Just then, erupts in London on terror at the start of the crimes of the infamous " Jack the Ripper ". Catherine sets out to investigate, coming dangerously close to the identity of the murderer. A remake called Amor, mentiras y sangre (2006) was made based on this movie.
